Home Redesign Center, Inc. warrants all wrought iron and steel doors against manufacturing defects for 20 years on the iron door structure and mechanics, 2 Years on the finish, excluding Metal mesh screens, Glass, weather stripping, door sweep, flush bolts, Roller catches, windows locks, and installation.

This Limited Warranty extends only to the original user of the product and is not transferrable or assignable for any reason whatsoever. No distributor, dealer or representative has the authority to change or modify this Limited Warranty. 

The warranty is void if a door has not been properly installed in a building or if it is removed from its original installed location. 

Home Redesign Center, Inc., at its sole discretion, will repair at a place of its choosing or replace all warranted defective goods. This warranty begins on the date of sale. All warranties are null and void if installation is found by Home Redesign Center, Inc. to be faulty in workmanship, in its sole discretion. 

All product finishes may age relative to exposure. The finish not warranted against flaking or peeling from normal wear and tear. Doors may be cleaned with a mild soap and water mixture, as cleaning with harsh chemicals including ammonia-based products (e.g. glass cleaner) may damage the finish. Scratches and other damage to glass or door finish because of pets or foreign objects or chemicals are not covered under this warranty. 

All Iron door products exposed to below freezing climates may sweat on the interior of the door depending on the humidity level in the home. This is not considered to be a defect with the door and will not harm the door. 

Home Redesign Center, Inc. assumes no liability for any labor charges regarding the installation, removal, or re-installation of doors. Damages caused by accident, misuse, abuse, or improper installation are not covered under this warranty. 

This warranty does not cover damage caused by paint, acid, or other chemicals. This warranty is strictly limited to the cost of repair of the product and Home Redesign Center Inc. assumes no other liability Locksets, hardware and other door components are covered under the conditions of the separate hardware warranties. 

Home Redesign Center Inc. iron components are hand crafted. Some custom designs may require that a slight modification be made to preserve the strength Home Redesign Center Inc. Therefore, reserves the right to make minor design adjustments to retain the strength for each individual design. THE WARRANTIES STATED HEREIN ARE EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES (EXCEPT OF TITLE), EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Home Redesign Center, INC. NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY OTHER PARTY TO ASSUME FOR IT, ANY OTHER LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL HOME REDESIGN CENTER, INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. 

All warranty claims must be approved by an authorized representative of Home Redesign Center Inc. Home Redesign Center Inc. has the right to view, inspect, examine any and all products claimed to be defective by customers. Failure of Customer to permit such access shall be deemed a waiver of all of Customer's rights under such warranty. Home Redesign Center Inc. Limited Warranty does not cover product that has been rendered unusable due to damage or mishandling. Home Redesign Center Inc. supports our customers with a warranty that covers defective conditions based on industry standards of acceptability. We take a fair and objective view of any warranty situation, but it is important to understand that a warranty does not cover any and all problems that may occur. We urge you to call if you have questions or need further clarification on our warranty conditions or relating to any specific situation that you may encounter.

ALUMINUM ALLY DOOR AND WINDOWS 5 Years Limited warranty

This warranty applies to all aluminum alloy doors and windows, including bifold doors, French doors, multi-slide doors, pocket doors, windows, entry doors, and interior aluminum products manufactured and/or sold by Modern doors.

 The products are designed to meet the specifications provided by distributors for installation and use by the original end users in both residential and commercial settings, subject to the terms and conditions outlined herein. The warranty guarantees that the products will be free from defects that could render them unserviceable or unsuitable for normal, intended use for a duration of five (6) years from the invoice date for residential applications, and three (3) years from the invoice date for commercial applications. For the purposes of this Limited Warranty, the Invoice Date refers to the date indicated on the invoice issued by Modern Doors to the purchaser of the product.  This Limited Warranty is exclusively for the original purchaser and is non-transferable or assignable under any circumstances. No distributor, dealer, or representative is authorized to alter or amend this Limited Warranty.  The responsibility for installation lies solely with the distributor, user, contractor, or their representative. Modern Doors expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for work conducted by third parties, including but not limited to distributors, users, contractors, customers, and/or installers. Any warranty provided under this Limited Warranty will be rendered void if the product is altered or modified in any manner other than as received or as specified on the invoice. 

 In the event that a product qualifies for a legitimate warranty claim under the stipulations of this Limited Warranty, Modern Doors reserves the right to, at its sole discretion:

 (1) repair the product; or (2) replace the product with one in the same condition as originally provided to the distributor. Should Modern Doors choose to replace the product, the warranty for the replacement will be limited to the remaining duration of the original product's warranty period. Modern Doors will not, under any circumstances, cover the costs associated with labor, installation, or finishing related to the replacement of the original product, nor will it be liable for any additional costs, expenses, fees, losses, damages, delays, or incidental or consequential damages arising from the product replacement. These responsibilities will rest solely with the individual submitting the warranty claim. If Modern Doors conducts any warranty work on-site, the claimant must ensure safe access to the repair location and will bear all costs, coordination, and liability for any equipment necessary for the safety and well-being of workers during the repair process. Any defects must be reported within 7 days of the product's delivery; otherwise, the product will be considered acceptable and free of defects. 

 After a period of 7 days, Modern Doors provides a one-time replacement for any defective hardware at no charge. However, the responsibility for shipping lies solely with the distributor, user, contractor, or their representative. It is essential to return the defective hardware to Modern Doors at the specified address and in the designated packaging, including all accessories, parts, and documentation, within 30 days of receiving the replacement hardware. When initiating a warranty return, you will be required to provide a payment card number to Modern Doors. Should you fail to return the defective hardware in accordance with the outlined process and timeframe, Modern Doors will charge the card you provided during the warranty return initiation. This constitutes your exclusive remedy for any breach of this limited warranty.  It is the sole responsibility of the distributor, user, customer, contractor, installer, and/or finisher to thoroughly inspect the Modern Doors for any discrepancies between the order and the received product before removing or damaging any existing doors from the structure. If the Modern Doors do not conform to the order specifications, they must not be installed. Modern Doors should be notified so that the product can be returned to the factory for necessary corrections. Under no circumstances should any Modern Doors requiring correction be installed. 

LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

 The following items are not classified as defects and are excluded from this Limited Warranty: 

1. Products that have not been sealed on all five surfaces (top, bottom, interior face, and two edges) with three coats of exterior-grade clear topcoat or paint.

 2. Products that have been improperly installed, which includes, but is not limited to, installations lacking a sill pan; issues related to structural integrity; incorrect sizing of headers; movement or sagging of framing or headers; design or construction flaws; minor expansion or contraction due to changing environmental conditions; misalignment of meeting panels; panel movement or shrinkage of 1/4 inch or less; and problems arising from warping or deflection of studs, headers, or other components of the installation opening, including the floor. 

3. Products installed in locations or conditions that are difficult to access or where performing work on the product would pose safety risks. 

4. Replacement of factory-supplied components or any modifications made to our original design. 

5. Damage resulting from improper adjustments or failure to adjust according to the manufacturer's guidelines. 

6. Products that have not been properly maintained. Homeowners are expected to perform regular maintenance as outlined in the care and handling instructions for all Modern Doors products. In the event of a warranty claim, proof of scheduled maintenance and cleaning may be required. 

7. Products that have been modified after leaving the possession of Modern Doors. 

8. Warping in door panels measuring up to 40 inches by 96 inches that does not exceed 1/4 inch. Door panels larger than 40 inches by 80 inches are not covered for warping. 

9. Units with electric operators that were installed after leaving the possession of Modern Doors. 

10. Damage caused by external factors or actions beyond the control of Modern Doors, including but not limited to misuse, abuse, accidents, mishandling, exposure to corrosive substances, or damage resulting from fire, flood, earthquakes, storms, tornadoes, or other natural disasters. 

11. Damage to any product installed in a residence designated for vacation rentals, long-term leases, or any other purpose where the owner is not present. 

12. Efforts made by individuals who are not authorized representatives of Modern Doors to repair the products. 

14. Failures in finish, discoloration, or corrosion of aluminum materials or any other components, including but not limited to handle sets, hinges, and sills, resulting from pollution or other corrosive agents such as harsh cleaning substances, coastal saltwater, sand, or acid rain that accumulate on surfaces. 

15. Penetration of water, wind, or airborne particles in any inswing system, or any product lacking a standard Modern Doors high track and/or sill pan designed for that specific product system, as well as any supplied high track that has been altered. 

16. Normal wear and tear or alterations in the color of hardware finishes, such as the tarnishing of brass. 

17. Scratches or any defects on glass surfaces, unless they are reported and documented with photographs at the time of product delivery. Glass breakage that occurs after the product has left the possession of Modern Doors, including spontaneous glass breakage. 

18. Glass or frames that still have protective film in place beyond a duration of two (2) months. 

19. Any glass that has been supplied or installed by third parties. 

20. Minor imperfections or occlusions in the glass that do not obstruct normal vision or the product's performance, in accordance with ASTM Glass Viewing Guidelines. Offset reflections in dual-glazed glass, which are considered a normal condition per ASTM Glass Viewing Guidelines. 

21. The presence of heat or haze marks in tempered glass. The manufacturing process for tempered glass involves applying high compression on the surface and high tension in the core, which may result in a slightly iridescent color that is typically not visible but can become apparent under certain lighting conditions. This phenomenon does not affect the performance of the tempered glass and does not render it defective. .

 22. Installations in structures that do not facilitate adequate moisture drainage. 

23. The presence of condensation or frost on the exposed interior or exterior surfaces of the Product. It is important to note that condensation or frost does not constitute a defect in the Product. 

24. Issues arising from improper assembly or installation of screens (including those placed on the exterior side of the door or window system), as well as damage resulting from environmental factors such as wind, normal wear and tear, and exposure to sunlight, rain, heat, or cold. This also includes damage to or contamination of screen fabric and other components due to rough handling, misuse, abuse, neglect, or harm caused by humans or pets, such as accidental collisions with the screen. Additionally, damage or contamination from dirt, dust, pet hair, salt, sand, water, or other debris is included. 

SCREENS ARE NOT DESIGNED OR INTENDED TO SAFELY CONTAIN PETS OR CHILDREN AND SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR THIS PURPOSE. NOTICE AND EXCLUSIONS FOR SEACOAST OR SALTWATER ENVIRONMENTS The air, climate, and conditions in Seacoast or Saltwater Environments are corrosive and abrasive, leading to significant damage to Products installed in these areas. Despite regular maintenance, Products in Seacoast or Saltwater Environments are likely to deteriorate more rapidly than those in other locations. If Products are installed in such environments, the following additional conditions and exclusions apply: 

A. Accumulation of salt and other potentially abrasive or corrosive substances on any surface of the Product must be avoided. All surfaces should be cleaned monthly with a mild detergent and water to prevent such buildup. 

B. Sand, dirt, and other debris must not accumulate on any surface or within tracks or recessed areas of the unit, including pockets, as this can obstruct the movement of hardware, leading to damage and breakage. Sand, in particular, is harmful to tracks, rollers, weather stripping, and other components. 

 C. Hardware, handle sets, and finishes are not guaranteed in Seacoast or Saltwater environments. It is anticipated that, even with proper maintenance, hardware and handle sets in these environments will require replacement (at the homeowner's expense) significantly more often than in other settings.  D. Any damage to the exterior paint coating, including scratches, chips, or worn areas, must be addressed immediately. The metal substrate must never be left exposed to environmental elements.  E. Custom color aluminum paint finishes in Seacoast or Saltwater environments are covered by a one-year warranty.  

F. Claims related to Seacoast or Saltwater environments, as previously defined, must be submitted within thirty (30) days of discovering a defect. If an original user has a warranty claim, they must promptly contact the dealer or representative from whom the product was purchased. The dealer or representative will provide Modern Doors with the necessary purchase information, enabling Modern Doors to access and review the complete order documentation for efficient and accurate claim processing. 

Warranty claims should be submitted in writing, including the Modern Doors invoice number, within the time limits specified by this Limited Warranty and before any repair work begins, to: Claim@homeredesigncenter.com 

 All warranty claims must include the purchase date and location, a description of the issue, and the name, complete address, and phone number of the claimant. Modern Doors will have a minimum of thirty (30) days to conduct a field inspection of any product involved in a Limited Warranty claim by a representative of Modern Doors.  

This Limited Warranty outlines the maximum liability of Modern Doors for its aluminum alloy door and windows. No distributor, user, dealer, representative, or any other third party is authorized to alter or modify this Limited Warranty in any way. Modern Doors shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages under any circumstances. .
